Our Story

I left a corporate HR role to start Mera Consultancy because I loved working with people and knew I could be making more of a positive impact.

Rachael Collins - Director

After studying Human Biology at University and working in pharmaceuticals, I quickly realised I wanted to work with people, not test tubes, and never looked back. I spent 10 years across several industries, including retail and government, building skills in HR, strategy development, change management and leadership. This culminated in pursuing my CIPD Level 7 in Strategic People Management; the highest qualification level in the industry.

I genuinely love what I do and started Mera Consultancy (named after my favourite mountain – Mera Peak (6400m), which I summitted in 2022) because I knew I could be making more of an impact outside of my corporate role. 

HR has forever been seen as a barrier. Real HR should be a powerful tool to improve profitability and productivity through your most important asset – your people. I show organisations how HR practices can enhance the value of their workforce.
